Simon Wilby’s New Product Demonstrates the Value of Solar Power

Simon Wilby first experimented with the idea of harnessing sun power for cell phone use when he had the unfortunate experience of running low on battery in the middle of an important conversation. Frustrated, he scribbled the plan for a solar powered cell phone battery on a napkin, and several weeks of planning and negotiations after, the prototype of The Smart One was furnished.

Simon Wilby successfully translated his pioneering idea into a product that allows people to rely less on electricity. It is made compatible with cell phone brands that are in current circulation by way of minor modifications on the surface of the battery door and in the battery compartment. In place of lithium ion battery, The Smart One offers lithium exon battery and instead of power cords, this device supports the use of a solar cell that is affixed on the back of the cell phone. Once The Smart One package is installed, users can expect to have lengthier conversations and continuous battery charge.

Cell phone users around the world will benefit most from this technology, but in the foreseeable future, Simon Wilby hopes to extend the same benefit to laptop owners and avid users of other portable gadgets like game consoles.
