Simon Wilby Hits Gold in Solar Power

Simon Wilby sets the pace for exploiting renewable energy resources for use in domestic gadgets through a pioneering invention called The Smart One.

A number of international electronics firms have been investing on making solar energy portable. While some of them have succeeded with partial developments, many have only produced results with little practical success. Interestingly, Simon Wilby, a British-Canadian inventor who has no expert knowledge in the science of energy, was able to come up with an aftermarket solar powered product that is projected to cover the demand for cell phone chargers and smart batteries.

The Smart One uses solar cells akin to those found in solar powered calculators. Just like these calculators, this brilliant device makes use of free electricity collected directly from the sun, only it also converts energy harnessed from other light sources like ambient light and moonlight. It also employs a much updated version of solar cell technology which contributes significantly to its improved capability to achieve continuous charging even when not fully exposed to light sources.

The sheer simplicity of this technology often baffles Simon Wilby. Now that he is knee-deep into this new technology, he hopes to develop and market similar applications for a wider range of gadgets.
