The pioneering technology that allows the collection and conversion of light sources into battery charge is used in ’s invention - The Smart One. This is an aftermarket product that is currently distributed in Barbados where ’s company is headquartered.
The Smart One proves to be an excellent replacement for standard batteries and chargers as it extends average talk time capacity to as much as 300%, thus stretching talk time from 4 hours to as much as 12 to 14 hours. It also makes for the smarter use of renewable resources since it completely eliminates the need to plug cell phones on wall sockets every time these need energy boost.
Presently, and his team at Smart Power Inc. are working towards creating similar applications for other gadgets and devices. They have already applied for patent for a laptop skin that will collect solar energy to power up laptops and are readying plans to put up solar powered street lamps in the secluded areas of Barbados.
